Linking the mainland to Noirmoutier, the Passage du Gois is a 4.2 km submersible road , passable only at low tide .

It's an unmissable experience , to be enjoyed on foot, by bike or by car, depending on the tide times.

The site also offers a superb area for shore fishing , with clams and cockles within easy reach .

Warning: crossing is only possible at low tide , approximately 1 hour 30 minutes before and after the peak of the tide.
